Seen from the eyes of the writer, a pig tailed girl next door, each scene comes alive, the buzzing , industrious mosquitoes at night , handing over to pesky flies at day break, the half lit streets, houses in the dark with a lamp around which the entire family sat down to meals. I especially miss the Holi. Maybe there was a goodness in all of us which has seeped out from the battle scars of life overtime. Oh my goodness! Where has it gone? A lovely read. anurag622003@yahoo.co.innoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7456294394539131779.post-724183006656656742013-03-03T10:30:05.202+00:002013-03-03T10:30:05.202+00:00Soma wrote-" simple pleasures of yesteryears....Soma wrote-" simple pleasures of yesteryears.....small town happiness which even the kids of the same place will never know...such is the power of progression.brightsparkhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12726574948246932077noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7456294394539131779.post-82343204036482027832010-10-21T03:48:29.589+01:002010-10-21T03:48:29.589+01:00Your blog post made me nostalgic. Remember when we started writing stories? I still remember the name of the one you wrote - "Five Petals then Fervor Five"!! Do you remember the story you wrote for the school mag (the topic was Poor Little Rich Girl) about the girl who used to live in an ice palace? When we used to play teacher, you always wanted to be the Physics teacher and I always wanted to be the Math teacher. So many memories!!! It is so strange that, despite the major incoveniences of the place (no electricity for 36 hours at a stretch, loads of mosquitoes...) all of us have such fond memories of our childhood in Dhanbad. It was truly a magical time.

RupaAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7456294394539131779.post-3698770504600491602009-02-15T06:21:00.000+00:002009-02-15T06:21:00.000+00:00wow Himani- tum to wakai umda shayar ho!wow Himani- tum to wakai umda shayar ho!brightsparkhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12726574948246932077noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7456294394539131779.post-77927778871778980682009-02-14T05:39:00.000+00:002009-02-14T05:39:00.000+00:00Phoolon ki mehak mausam aane par aati haiyaadon ki...Phoolon ki mehak mausam aane par aati hai
yaadon ki khushboo waqt ki mohtaaj nahin
-----------------------------------
zamaane badalte hai, maahaul badalte hain, insaan to badalte hi hain
bachpan ki masoomiyat in sab ki mauhatj nahinhimanipriyamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01779528942543210831noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7456294394539131779.post-75762355373196156102009-02-05T02:23:00.000+00:002009-02-05T02:23:00.000+00:00A very apt and vivid description of the times of m...A very apt and vivid description of the times of mid 1900 century Indian family and neighbourhood.
